The Little Prince

We are just getting ready to read our first book together this semester!  We'll be reading The Little Prince by St. Antoine-Exupery.

About a month ago, on April 5, 2007, an article was published about an interesting discovery concerning The Little Prince.  An original drawing by St. Antoine-Exupery was found in Japan!  You can read the article HERE

After reading the article concerning this new link between the book and Japan, think about any connections you have to The Little Prince, which has been translated into numerous languages and has become popular around the world.  If you have something to share, please post a comment.

Hi, Mary!
Today I had fun of guessing the author's life. I was very interested in his life, and I wanted to know why suddenly he disappeared. His life was mysterious! As you know I don't like reading literature or story in Englidh. However, after taking today'sclass I became to be willing to read "The Little Prince".

Hi. I'm Ayaka. I have ever heard the title of this book. However, I have never read it. I'm really looking forward to reading it because the author's life is interesting, and the contents of this book look very nice!

Hello readers,

I've found a homepage with a lot of information about Saint-Exupéry. I read Le petit prince as my first French language book, back in 1960 when I was ten years old. My grandmother translated some of his books into Danish, so they were all on her book shelf for me to explore.

I'm glad you're looking forward to reading "The Little Prince"! St-Exupery's life was really amazing too.

I found a newspaper article about the discovery of his plane's wreckage. You can find it at

Thanks, Sus, for your comment and for the Little Prince website. The multimedia section there is really great!

When I was a university student, my class read the Little Prince in French. I hope you'll enjoy it too!
