Dear Mary,
I was going to leave a voice message in chinswing but there was something wrong with my mic so here I am. The topic was really interesting because it really takes you back to your childhood or an important moment in your life. Well, a sweet I really like is not Brazilian, it's the lemon pie made in the US. I ate it for the first time when I was an exchange student there and absolutely loved it. Nowadays I like eating it with my eyes closed so that I can relive that part of my life, you know, it brings many good memories.
Great blog and thanks for visiting my blog as well.

I am Mary-from-Hungary, an American teacher, and I love Hungarian food, especially "makos guba" which is a sweet main dish. Put walnut-sized pieces of bread rolls together in a large bowl, pour on a little warm milk to soften, then cover with a thick layer of ground poppy seeds mixed with powdered sugar. Really sweet! Sincerely, Mary

I'm Susana Canelo from Argentina. My favourite sweet is "alfajor" Havanna (sorry,it's a trade mark). It's made by two biscuits joined together with caramel spread (dulce de leche) and coated with bittersweet chocolate.
It's a tradition in Argentina to bring a box of "alfajores" to your family and friends when you go on holidays to the beach. It's a way to share the good time you had.
If you close your eyes and taste one of it you can remember my holidays

Thank you Ana Maria, Mary, and Susana for your comments about your favorite sweets!

Ana Maria, my father's favorite dessert is a lemon pie, so I also have fond memories of baking and eating it. Where in the U.S. did you stay?

If I have the chance, I'd like to try all of these sweets! Looking forward to more comments!

Dear all,
Visitors who come to Mar del Plata enjoy taking ¨alfajores¨ home. We, locals, are used to stopping for a sweet bite of ¨alfajor¨. This sweet food reminds most of us of our holidays or a break in our daily routines.
It´s made up of two sweet biscuits with milk jam or toffee in between, covered with back or white chocolate.
Hope you enjoy the pics at: http://www.ciao.es/opinion_images_view.php/OpinionId/1053009

Cheers,

Monika_ Argentina
